I'm using kid mohair from Feza.. it's so light and airy and slightly variegated...can't wait to finish it!!!

These guys are friends.... I knit them from yarn I dyed with wilton icing colors. I split a skein in half and dyed each half with a different method from the same dye mixtures. so now they are friends.. (^_^)

Weeeeeeee... no more baby knitting for a while..This is the first of a pair of socks.. the yarn was dyed with wilton icing colors awhile ago..I split the skein in half and dyed one half with strips and the other is painted..it should make some fun socks.....

Pretty Abigail being held by her great-grandma.. so pretty in yellow. This sweater was also worn by Abigail's mom when she was a baby...(^_^)

AnD tHeRe arE 9..!!

Well that's the rest of my cotton yarn. Textures are fun to look at and the names are fitting.. "textured slip stitch , bamboo cloth, bicolour cable edging".. No more dish cloths for now.. there are 9 total!!!

Who knew dish cloths were so much fun. Little bits of patterns and textures. I can't seem to stop!! It's a fun way to try out different knitting stitches. This is what i have so far... I can make a few more.. then the yarn runs out.. I'll have to run to the store for more cotton yarn..
Things are moving right along.... I finished this shrug a few days ago.. I've been trying to get a good picture of it.. doesn't seem to be possible.. so here it is.. a kind of dark wierd picture..This is a pattern by Levonne Best

bAck tO BaSics

Do u prefer them knit or crochet?...I can't decide.. so i make them both..This is the beginning of my stack of dish cloths. I'm starting out with really basic patterns and plan to build up to more intricate patterns.I make a pile about once a year...whats good about them is u can throw them in the washer and they look pretty in the kitchen. the star shaped one was supposed to have only 6 points not 7. I started over twice and just gave into 7 points. There are lots of free dish cloth patterns online..if u like the knitted version... look here

Today was the day Abigail decided to arrived at 1:30pm, 7lbs.1oz.... all i could think of when i saw her was... isn't she beautiful..

So many things....The mail man brought more presents...Oneskein and 50 baby bootees to knit.!!!..
There is the finished baby shrug and some lil mary janes...both in need of buttons. I changed my blog color.. black was a bit dark... i am a lover of all things pink!! (sorry carmen)(^_^)

and.... almost done with yet another baby sweater. this one is made from a sport weight alpaca (dug out of the stash) dyed with pink lemonade kool-aid. I'm about to put the front and sleeve bands on
any minute now..
