How can u pass up a bargain on yarn..!!! Bernat soy.. natural blends is on clearance at Michaels.. woo hoo.. I have been wanting to buy some for awhile and to make a project with it seemed pricey especially on my budget.. which is virtually zero.. so..finially buying this yarn at bargain prices = happiness.. (^_^)
I already have plans for some of this yarn too..














Progress on my cardi wrap... the body is finished an I'm working on sleeve #1... and so far I'm loving this project..

Moving right along on this project.. I finished my last 4 pattern repeats last night at Orlando Knit Wits.(Jody and I stayed for quite a while after everyone left and continued knitting) I'm at the ribbing and cast off..I did drop the stitches but haven't gotten them to run all the way down the length yet... I'll do that today. I needed to drop them before starting on the ribbing...after that I'll pick up the stitches for the arms..YAY..

something new..

This year I decided to make items that I have been wanting to try for a while.. or things I have looked at and wanted to make but just never did. The cardi-wrap is one and two toe up socks at the same time is another.. this will be my first pair of toe up socks and the first time I attempt two socks at the same time.. so far I like it.. I think I might have gotten them turned around on the cast on.. not sure.... I will continue to test the water and see what happens... (^_~)

YaY yarn sale!!

Progress on my cardi-wrap... So far I finished the right side and back.. and now I'm working my way across the left front.. when that is done.. I'll just have the sleeves to knit and they are knit in the round.. they should work up pretty fast...














Sales sales sales!!!...Michaels put some yarn out for clearance and it was going fast... good thing I was working .. I ran back on my break and picked up what was left of the Patons shetland chunky.. for .49 cents!!! .. there was a darker blue that I didn't pick up right away.. I thought about it for a minute and went back to get that too and it was already gone.. I really like the colors I was able to get.. and I have one project picked out already... Yay for yarn sales!!!

stress?

Moving along very nicely.. and then in the upper left corner... something just isn't quite right.. so yes there was some ripping.. it wasn't too painful.. only 5 pattern repeats.. I'm up to the the first armhole and dropped the stitches before the armhole bind off.. and now I'm working on the back. This pattern is fairly simple.. but.. I seem to be having a lot of problems with it.. must be stress.. blame everything on stress..

So much chocolate.. go to keep the knitting going..this was a very nice belated Christmas present.

I decided to continue to knit on... and it's not bad.. every once in a while I have to pull lightly on each end of the yarn so the kinks smooth out... this is pre drop stitch.. (this it the cardi- wrap pattern from stitch diva studios)
